Our Mission
Supporting Swedes Abroad exists for one simple reason: to put an unexpected smile on the face of a Swede who happens to be far from home. Whether you were born in Malmö, grew up in Minnesota hearing stories of your great-grandmother from Gävle, or simply carry a bit of Sweden in your heritage — a weakness for fika, the quiet wisdom of lagom, or the memory of mysiga winter evenings — we think the world is a little brighter when someone hands you a small, surprising gift for no particular reason at all.
We are funded entirely by a single, anonymous donor whose only condition is that the gifts remain small, the recipients remain Swedish (by birth or descent), and the surprises remain genuinely unexpected. No applications. No forms. No strings. Just a quiet, occasional reminder that someone, somewhere, is thinking of you.

A Word About Our Donor
Our benefactor wishes to remain anonymous and asks that no effort be made to identify them. They have only ever said this: "Being Swedish abroad can feel quiet. I would like it to feel a little less so." We honour that wish in every parcel we send.
